Oh I love this technique from Technique Junkie. I had to it for an ATC mingle, but I can imagine all the possibilities of this technique using other type of paper and other size of cards.

Splatered ink technique!

Hello my friends I'm still in this world... LOL... but very busy going to the beach, the pool and enjoying Naples in Florida so it's not easy to keep up with creating when the sun is out there! I did manage to participate in one mingle the theme is " Splatered Technique " from Tim Holtz. I love all what Tim Holtz does so it was a lot of fun doing those cards. I must say that I did a few things my way but the results are very much the same! For the first card I will show 3 steps, here goes: The background is done with splatered alcohol inks (my way). Stamping credits Tim Holtz. Final mounted card. OTHER CARDS Background Technique: Alcohol ink splater. Stamp credit: Unknown... Background Technique: Alcohol ink splater. Stamp credit: Magenta. This and that...!

Hello
Since a month now we are in Naples, Florida.... even if it's cooler than usual it still is nicer than in my hometown in Québec, Canada... I hear they have lots of snow... poor dears I sympatise with you ...!
I have been doing fun Valentine cards that I already sent ... no pictures of these.
The only think I miss when travelling is my scanner... Here I have to take a picture of my work and I'm not always pleased with those. Anyway, I have discovered the "RubberStampMadness" mag... Oh boy do I like this mag... I have never seen it in Montréal where I get most of my other mags! I will subscribe that one for sure.
I did a bit of art, first to participate in one of my groups' lottery and the other for a birthday.
"WORDS" was the theme of our lottery. For this card I played with Technique Junkies' "Faux Designer Paper", Nancy Judd contributed this fabulous technique and I love it... It's so much fun to do and allows lots of room for creativity... Thank you Nancy!
WORDS

This other one is an awesome way to work with alcohol inks. I already love working with those and when I saw this article in RubberStampMadmess I wanted absolutely to try... This technique is from Marina Lenzino and as Marina says it does require a bit of pratice LOL! I finally came up with a background that pleased me. Marina designs her own stamps http://www.cherrypieartstamps.com ... and you can image that I have ordered some ... unfortunately they did come in, in time for me to use on this background. I used this lovely stamps from Delta, I'm quite pleased with the card I did.

DREAMS

That is all for now ... hope you've enjoyed your visit!

Oil Pastel Chic...

Hello... Woohoooooo... I love this background technique... and I think I came up with very nice results... It's from Technique Junkies' December 08 newsletter. Rockin' Robin Caldwell developed this chic technique and I have made 4 attemtps... the first one we won't even talk about it... I had put tooo much pastel so it was very dark and hard to work with. So I decided that this was my lesson... put less pastel I made these 3 ones and have stamped on 1 with a stamps I just bought yesterday and I love! Taaaa dam...

Friends Birthday!

Two of my wonderful friends are celebrating their birthday soon. I made these cards for them. I love this technique ... " Torn paper image". Stamps the same image on 3 different color of paper ... tear the papers and align so it will complete the image. It's like a puzzle... I embellished with Rhine stones, ribbon, paper flowers and text on the right. The text is beautiful... It says something like " The most beautiful flower loses its beauty... but a true friend last for eternity" (my translation)!!!

For this one I have been having fun playing with my Cuttlebug... I love those embossing borders... it allows lots of creativity!

Ok now, the envelopes and in the mail...!

Getting ready for New Year art resolutions...!

What will be yours??? For me, I'm thinking seriously about it ... I would like to have a chance to play more with all the wonderful techniques I have access to on Technique Junkies... I found it so frustrating this past year not to have time to play and try more of those. So I guess that this year this will be one of the resolutions that I will keep... PLAY!!! We will be leaving for 3 months in Naples Florida after Christmas... I will bring some of my stuff and will take some time to look into those little treasures found on TJ... and of course try some. I will try to publish my work on my blog... but with no scanner ... I will take photos but I always have a hard time getting go pic of my cards... maybe with practice it will be better. Anyway if you fell like letting me know what you art resolution will be go ahead just leave a comment ... I'd love to read what you are up to!
