Altered Counter top samples

Hello Bloggers and friends!

Part of art is taking a mundane object and turning it to an unexpected, inventive purpose. That’s just what I’ve done with kitchen countertop samples that take on a new life as very beautiful book covers. The cover has been decorated with a metal and glass birdhouse. Some inside pages have been embellish with bird theme stamps.

I used the 4-needle Coptic stich and it is 3½ x 5 inches and has 32 pages.

I'd like to enter the following challenge.....

Craft Room:  Alter it.

This is gorgeous, and what a great way to recycle! Love the little birdhouse. Thanks for joining in with our "Alter It" theme over at the Craft-Room Challenge.
