Solitaire

Hello my friends...
Happy Friday, the week end is almost there and it's our first spring week end.

Clean and Simple was the word for this creation.  It was my first... Being mad about Vintage style artwork it's quite a challenge to go minimum...where masking was also needed but I often mask my work for some effects so this was not new to me.but it's a new experience and through it I discovered that I love it...  I'm a woman of contrast... LOL! Have a peek.

Inks:  Distress Sugar Spun, milled Lavender & antique Linen
Stamp:  Magenta
Ribbon and gem stones.
This card will enter challenge:

Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 99 - CAS à (clean and simple)

I had fun doing this.  Hope to read you... it's always so gratifying!

Jungle... a tag!

Hello Bloggers

Today I have been playing with one of my favorite background technique; distress blending and clear embossing!
I wanted to use this stamp for a while but could not picture it.  When I started this tag "Bingo" I had found my Elephants and Rhino a home...LOL!  I like the contrast between those big clumsy beast and the delicate flowers and lace!

Inks:  Distress Broken China, Faded Jeans, Tattered Rose,
Color Box Pewter grey.
Stamps:  Hero Arts, Judi Kins, Local King Rubber stamps
Buttons, lace, die cut flowers, Rhinestone brads.

This tag will enter Simon Says Challenge " Show your handmade background "

Once again thank you for stopping by and see you soon!

Charlotte is very talented in photography and sketching.  I wanted something a bit funky for her and this stamp did grab my eye when I saw it ... I thought ... "Charlotte".... So this is what I came up with .......... No need to say she was very pleased!

Colors:  Tombow watercolor markers
Stickles, Clear Accent
Vintag heart embossed with utee, candy rock, color Cranberry Alcohol ink.
Ribbon.

My granddaughter Charlotte &

Souvenirs -

Hello my friends!

Happy Monday!   It sure feel like spring in this area we are having high temperature of 20C when last week we barely reach 5-7C... I'm not going to complain!

Last week I attended a class where we worked with some papers that just came in.  From what I had when I left to what you will be viewing it's night and day.

By now you might have gathered that I love vintage style, so I had a ball working on this card. Layers of papers, flowers, butterflies, ribbon, and an imprint of UTEE  a dose of creativity et voilà.  I love the result.  There is not much of technique involved in this except for the imprint of UTEE which is done with several coats of clear embossing utee + my own mix of copper and stamping the image while the embossing surface is still hot!

Paper: Prima Almanac
Flowers: Prima
Stamps: Magenta, Rubber Stampede, Clearly impressed.
UTee, ribbon,
Ink:  Distress Vintage Photo, Distress sugar Spun & Gold

Thank you for your visit and come back soon I will have more!

For my best friend...

I made this leather book for my best friend who is a lover of blank books... she writes, sketches and paint wonderfully.  Deep inside she is an Artist who is waiting to retire to unleash the multiples talents she has been gifted with!

She was overjoyed when I gave her this book... just because....! Seeing her joy and bright eyes is the best reward she could give me!  In my dedication I wrote that the best way for to thank me is to use it ... because each time she will use it she will think of me.

Here's a little technicalities.  The leather cover is lined with another layer of leather.  The imprint on top was done with an " wood appliqué" under press.  The stich used is the long stich which allows to weave on  the exterior. For weaving and stiching I used Bamboo cord made of natural fibers.  Paper used is watercolor paper.

Moulin Rouge

Happy Saturday fellow stampers!

Moulin Rouge... Paris, who hasn't been dreaming of Paris... I know I am. I would love to walk in those little streets they have and even more go to all of those antique open markets when you can buy vintage stuff for almost nothing!!!

This creation is inspired by the famous Moulin Rouge one of the most famous theater in Paris where the French Can-Can was first danced!

Here is what I came up with;

Stamps:  Grapic 45
Distress inks:  Fired brick, wild honey
Flower Lace, Feathers
Letters die cut Sizzix, red stickels

That's it for now, back to creating since inspiration seems to be in good shape!
